Cooperation of turkic-speaking states in the field of higher education

From May 21 to 23, 2025, the XII International Symposium on Turkic Studies (TUDAS) was held at Ömer Halisdemir University in Niğde, Turkey.

Representatives from the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages at Satbayev University actively participated in this major academic forum and presented their research. These included Professors K. Zhaksylykova, S. Odanova, A. Omirzakova, PhD M. Satinbekova, and A. Absattar, as well as Associate Professor L. Ibraimova from the Kazakh Women’s Pedagogical University. The presentations were prepared within the framework of the AP 23487324 project titled “Teaching the Kazakh Language to Turkic-speaking Students through Digital Technologies in a Translingual Aspect,” under the scientific supervision of Professor S. A. Odanova.

One of the most vibrant parts of the conference was the cultural festival entitled “We Are Turks with a Common Root.” This event showcased the rich spiritual culture and heritage of the Turkic peoples, featuring traditional music, national dances, and theatrical performances that captivated the audience. Festival participants once again experienced the spiritual kinship of the Turkic world, rooted in a shared historical origin, and emphasized the importance of promoting their common cultural heritage and history.
