Eduard Siemens, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Mechanics and Economic Engineering Department at Anhalt University, visited Polytech on October 23 to discuss prospects for cooperation, including in the field of education and science.

The meeting was attended by Member of Future Internet Lab of Anhalt University Anastassyia Sapega, Rector of University Meiram Begentaev, Director of Automation and Information Technology Institute Raissa Uskenbayeva, Director of Energy and Machine Building Institute Kassym Yelemessov, Deputy Director of Automation and Information Technology Institute Aizhan Kassymova, Head of Office of Commercialization and International Cooperation Aliya Akatayeva, senior lecturer of Robotics and Automation department Nurlan Bayanbai.

Meiram Begentayev introduced University staff and gave the floor to Institutes’ directors and departments’ representatives.

During the meeting, the creation of double-degree education in the areas of Automated Control System, Electronics and electrical engineering, as well as academic mobility of students, undergraduates and doctoral students were discussed. The professor said that the university is ready to cooperate with SU for internships of the teaching staff in the framework of "500 scientists" program from IPC Bolashak.

Also during the meeting, the holding of IREF international event within the walls of SU, for implementing the joint cooperation between German and Kazakh industrial companies and universities, was discussed.
