Facade of the future: a workshop for producing new generation solar panels has been opened at Physics and Technology Institute
The grand opening of "Pilot Industrial Workshop for producing the solar modules based on hetero-structured solar cells" took place at Physics and Technology Institute. The project was implemented with “Science Foundation’s” support and in cooperation with “Techno-group-service.”
The opening ceremony was attended by key persons of the project, including Director of Physics and Technology Institute Omarkhan Yelemessov, project manager Nikolai Chuchvaga and Chairman of Supervisory Board of “Techno-group-service” Zhomart Mominbayev, thanks to whose support the given project became a reality.
The workshop will produce panels of the new generation that can be used not only for traditional purposes, but also as elements of facades and windows of buildings. Panels’ design can be changed at the request of the customer, adapting them to the existing design. This innovative solution will allow the integration of solar panels into architecture, preserving the aesthetics of the building and at the same time generating the energy.
The project was implemented with the support of “Science Foundation” and in cooperation with “Techno-group-service.”
The production of solar modules was funded by “Science Foundation” as part of the technology commercialization grant, and by the end of the year the first batch of products will be available on the market. This opens up new horizons for the mass use of high-tech facade solutions in construction.
The workshop is designed to produce both standard serial panels and non-standard, customized solutions for architectural projects, which allows the introduction of advanced solar energy technologies into everyday life and business.
The launch of the workshop is a significant step in evolving the domestic solar energy, opening up new opportunities for the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
