Head of Directors Board at CityU Hong Kong received “Honorary Professor of Satbayev University” title

There was held a solemn ceremony at Satbayev University to award “Honorary Professor” title to Michael Ngai, an internationally recognized financier and Chairman of Directors Board at City University of Hong Kong. The decision was made by University Academic Council for Michael Ngai's outstanding contribution to evolving the international cooperation and strengthening the partnership between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong universities.

During the visit, Professor Ngai gave a lecture to Satbayev University students related to possibilities of study and research at City University of Hong Kong, and also answered the students' questions. After the lecture, an academic council was held, where the scientist addressed his Kazakh colleagues with the speech of appreciation, noting the potential of Kazakhstan’s first technical university.

"It is a great honor to join the academic family of Satbayev University, - Michael Ngai emphasized. "I deeply respect University's dynamic and forward-looking community, which has become one of the leaders in green technologies, artificial intelligence, and energy innovation spheres."

As Chairman of Directors Board at City University of Hong Kong, Professor Ngai played a key role in implementing the strategic partnership between the two universities. Thanks to his support, CityU branch was established on the basis of Satbayev University, which has become a new center for international education and cooperation in Kazakhstan. The given project has significantly strengthened Satbayev University's position in the global academic arena and opened up new opportunities for students and researchers as well.
