Hungarian Consul General in Almaty visited Satbayev University

Hungarian Consul General in Almaty Ferencz Blaumann visited Satbayev University, where he met with Rector of University Meiram Begentayev and Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation Alibek Shokparov.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the areas of cooperation between Satbayev University and Hungarian universities. As part of the acquaintance, Alibek Shokparov shared his impressions of visiting Miskolc University (Hungary) at the end of April.

The friendly communication took place in the Russian language, the guest was happy to talk on his country’s history and culture, shared his vision of collaboration in the field of innovative scientific developments and student exchange.

Education has always been one of the priorities of Kazakh-Hungarian relations. In addition to Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program, available to Kazakhstanis within the framework of Agreement on Education and Scientific Cooperation concluded between Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary and Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erasmus academic mobility program works as well. Sending the students to study based on similar programs is one of Satbayev University’s main priorities.
