Kanysh Satbayev's legacy inspires universities to partnership with Kazakhstan and Pakistan
Satbayev University is expanding the horizons of international cooperation by launching a partnership with National University of Science and Technology of Pakistan. As part of the agreement, the two universities are discussing the creation of Kanysh Satbayev Scientific and educational center based on NUST, which is scheduled to open the next academic year.
The future center, located at NUST campus in Islamabad, will become a living platform for popularizing the science, bringing together students, teachers and all those who seek knowledge. Special attention will be paid to the Kazakh culture and personality of Kanysh Satbayev, the founder of Kazakhstan Geological school and one of the country's largest scientists. Joint research will be conducted here and educational initiatives aimed at popularizing the legacy of the great scientist will be launched.
The partnership between Satbayev University and NUST also provides for evolving the joint degree programs, the exchange of students and teachers, scientific conferences and seminars, as well as support for startups and innovative projects. As part of the agreement, the parties agreed to provide mutual support for initiatives and create comfortable conditions for training and professional growth for all those interested in developing the international collaboration.
The agreement was signed in Islamabad as part of 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission of Kazakhstan and Pakistan, which was attended by representatives of leading universities in Kazakhstan. Satbayev University delegation also took part in the First Forum of universities of the two countries and "Study in Kazakhstan" educational exhibition, presenting the scientific achievements and educational opportunities of our country’s first technical university. These agreements mark a new stage in developing the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the field of education and science, contributing to the strengthening of cultural and academic ties between the two countries.
