Mass Dictation: Language Day and the 180th Anniversary of Abai

On the occasion of the Language Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in honor of the 180th anniversary of the great thinker and the foremost poet of the Kazakh people, Abai Kunanbayuly, the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages of the Project Management Institute organized a “Mass Dictation.” The main purpose of the event is to expand the scope of the state language, improve the literacy of the younger generation, and promote Abai’s legacy. A total of 157 people took part in the dictation. Among them were institute leaders, faculty members, and students of various specialties who tested their literacy and knowledge.

This indicator is evidence of the youth’s great interest in and respect for the state language. The works and wise words of Abai Kunanbayuly, filled with moral lessons, will always remain an example for future generations. Such meaningful initiatives encourage young people to respect their native language and to value unity and statehood. The results of the dictation will be announced, and the best participants will be awarded diplomas and gifts.
