On the first day of monitoring, Academic Integrity League highly appreciated Satbayev University

The monitoring group of League of Academic Integrity visited Satbayev University of Kazakhstan to evaluate University's work in the field of corporate development, in the academic sphere, in the administrative, social and educational fields. The guests were given a tour of the renovated university campus, showing in full the material and technical base and the atmosphere of student learning and scientists’ work.

The monitoring group met with University leadership, with the directors of institutes, heads of structural divisions at Satbayev University to ask them pressing questions on implementing the principles of academic integrity at the university. The monitoring group got acquainted with University’s laboratory facilities and scientific centers. Special attention was paid to monitoring the transparency of the disbursement of research grants and compliance with the principles of honesty in scientific research.

The meeting and the tour took place in a friendly, warm atmosphere, Commission members noted the positive dynamics and growth of the university. This is how the first day of the monitoring group's work ended, which will last for two more days. The group will study the degree of digitalization of University, student accommodation in dormitories, the educational process of Military Affairs Institute, and a series of meetings of Academic Integrity League representatives with professors, students, employers, and graduates.

Academic Integrity League continues to work to promote the mission of honest and high-quality education in Kazakhstan. To do this, League monitors universities and their educational processes for compliance with the 105 criteria of the League Standard. Last year, Satbayev University was in 20^th place in the League ranking, and growth is expected this year.
