PhD student of Satbayev University Aigerim Tolegenova completed an internship at Vilnius Technical University

PhD student of Satbayev University at Bassenov Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering under the educational program "Construction and production of building materials and structures" Tolegenova Aigerim in the period from October 23 to November 26 of this year passed a foreign research internship at the Vilnius Technical University named after Gediminas.

This became possible thanks to the Government grant of the Republic of Lithuania for a research internship, which was won by Aigerim. During the internship, PhD student studied the mechanism of the effect of complex additives on the processes of cement hydration, structure formation and hardening of cement stone in concrete; analyzed the kinetics of concrete hardening, modified with complex additives; considered methods for determining frost resistance and porosity of composite materials.

The scientific internship was built on the close work of the PhD student with his foreign advisor – Dr., Professor of the Institute of Building Materials Dr. Gintautas Skripkiunas. Aigerim not only conducted research work and discussed issues related to the topics of her PhD dissertation, but also presented the results of the research at the University of Lithuania, and received valuable guidance on further research in the framework of numerous consultations with the teacher.
