New Hyundai Engineering laboratory is a piece of real production, opened within the walls of University. It is furnished with real internal combustion engines, a mock-up of an electric car for training, equipped with spare parts, as well as modern equipment for lectures, seminars and practical classes. In the classroom, students will immediately begin to study the real components of cars, assemble cars, while simultaneously conducting their diagnostics, research and testing of innovative solutions.

Along with the training of students, the center will contribute to evolving the research initiatives. University’s teachers and scientists will be able to conduct fundamental and applied research, as well as develop solutions adapted for the Kazakh market in the field of electric vehicles and hybrid technologies. It is expected that this will stimulate innovation and the training of highly qualified specialists for the Kazakh automotive industry.

The opening of the laboratory became possible thanks to the support of Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan, Astana Group and its chairman, the famous Kazakhstani entrepreneur Nurlan Smagulov, whose company effectively cooperates with the university, providing an industrial base for practical training of specialists for the automotive industry of Kazakhstan.
