Satbayev University and SCO-CECC Agree to Launch Joint Digital Initiatives

Satbayev University hosted a working meeting with the delegation of the Working Committee of the National Platform for Digital Technologies under the SCO-CECC, led by Mr. Luo Muzhi. The parties discussed cooperation in cybersecurity, managed and fault-tolerant database management systems, and industrial monitoring, alongside workforce development and academic exchange.
Operating within the ecosystem of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), the SCO-CECC Working Committee brings together industry, research and education to advance the digital economy and standardization. Technology partners introduced at the meeting included GreatDB (solutions for managed and fault-tolerant DBMS), Yinxin Digital Security (commercial cryptographic products and cybersecurity platforms), and Xingbang Pipeline/XBPP (fiber-optic systems for continuous leak and anomaly detection on pipelines).
Given Satbayev University’s engineering strengths and its R&D and commercialization infrastructure, the parties proposed establishing a joint SU-CECC applied laboratory for research and pilot testing. They also reviewed education tracks with Chinese and English language training and internships at relevant enterprises in China.
As an outcome, the parties agreed to develop a joint roadmap, identify pilot sites, and draft agreements for laboratory and education tracks.
The partnership aims to accelerate technology transfer, strengthen data reliability and security, and train specialists for priority industries in Kazakhstan and across the SCO.
