Satbayev University and Sungkyunkwan University representatives are exploring the future collaboration possibilities
Satbayev University’s leadership met with the delegation from South Korean Sungkyunkwan University to discuss prospects for cooperation. The negotiations were attended by President of Sungkyunkwan University, Professor Jibom Yu, Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev as well as heads of the two universities’ colleges.
- Kazakhstan is one of the most promising countries, Mr. Yu said in his speech. - You are very good at fundamental science and basic essentials, and I expect a very successful, mutually beneficial cooperation. We really value your hospitality. Thank you very much!
After the short presentation of Kazakhstan’s first technical university’s capabilities, the parties moved on to highlight the formats of future cooperation and expectations from it, stressing that collaboration will be implemented both in the short and long term, starting from interaction of scientists in the field of innovative projects for production, ending with the exchange of students and interpenetration of cultures of the two countries.
The visit ended with the presentation of Seonggyungwan University’s possibilities for Satbayev University students.
Seonggyungwan University is a prestigious university, one of the four great national universities in Korea, founded in 1398 and has a rich heritage and traditions. Today, SKKU has almost 26,000 students enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate programs.
Sungkyunkwan University has high marks in the global educational arena. So, according to Times Higher Education-2021, it ranks 101st in the world ranking and 3rd in South Korea. Based on QS World University Rankings-2022 – 97th position in the world and 6th place among universities in South Korea.
University is located in Seoul and offers various study programs and research opportunities, especially in the fields of chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction and IT. Students can study the fundamental principles of science, conduct laboratory research and participate in academic projects.
