Satbayev University conducted a seismic training session as part of the World Civil Defense Day

During the earthquake training, dedicated to the World Civil Defense Day on March 1, students and staff of Satbayev University practiced earthquake response, evacuation from buildings and first aid.

The chief physician of University's Medical Center showed the technique of artificial ventilation and indirect heart massage on “Gosha” dummy. The participants gained valuable knowledge on exigency care in emergency situations.

In order to improve the students' knowledge of rescue methods, an exhibition of rescue equipment was organized jointly with the Bostandyk District Emergency Management Department. The students were shown the work of specialized machines "Magirus" and "Avtolestnitsa" used in rescue operations.

World Civil Defense Day is an important day for Kazakhstan. It is celebrated in many countries of the world: it is the day of firefighters, rescuers who save people in emergency situations and teach the public how to behave in man-made and natural disasters.

Conducting such trainings at Satbayev University underlines the importance of training the students and staff for possible emergencies. University strives to evolve a responsible attitude towards safety and the protection of everyone's life and health.
