Satbayev University conducted seismic training to get prepared for possible emergencies

A large-scale seismic training was held at Satbayev University, which was attended by students, teachers and staff of University. The training began with a drill alert, the participants of the exercises promptly evacuated from the training buildings, following clearly established routes. University's security services coordinated the evacuation.

The exercises included informing the students and staff, distributing the materials, and working out various earthquake-related scenarios. The basic rules on priority actions in case of an earthquake and the preparation of an alarm suitcase, evacuation routes to the nearest reception points were brought to the attention of students and staff. The training was part of a citywide civil defense exercise that was held in Almaty to test emergency preparedness.

Such trainings are very important for the work of University campus, which is located in the region of high seismic activity. Therefore, University pays a lot of attention to ensuring the safety and training of every student and employee of Satbayev University.
