Satbayev University continues developing the cooperation with Chinese partners
On July 24, 2023, the delegation of Chinese Center for Technology Transfer of SCO member states, represented by Liu Hongzhi, Deputy Director of Center, Hu Lili, Director of International Relations and Cooperation Department, Abai Sakhanov, Deputy Director of International Relations and Cooperation Department visited Satbayev University.
Technology Transfer Center is a Chinese national platform for cooperation in scientific, technical, trade, economic, educational and cultural fields with countries and regions that support “Zone and Road” initiatives on the basis of SCO member states. Center's activities are supported by SCO Secretariat, PRC Ministry of Science and Technology and PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the working meeting, University’s guests discussed with Satbayev University’s representatives the possibility of further joint work in scientific areas, the participation of Chinese partners in grant scientific and technical projects (in the areas of mechanical engineering, railways, logistics, water resources, energy), cooperation with PRC higher educational institutions in implementing the joint degree programs, the transfer of Chinese technologies in Kazakhstan and others.
The meeting ended with the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding and a tour of SU laboratories. The signed memorandum opens up mutually beneficial opportunities for the two sides in advancing the promising direction in technological, educational and industrial spheres.
