Satbayev University Digital Engineering and Technology Institute is strengthening the international cooperation with SCO Technology Transfer Center and Oceanic University of China

Satbayev University Digital Engineering and Technology Institute was represented at SCO Scientific and Technical Cooperation Forum on June 8-9, 2025, organized by Chinese Technology Transfer Center of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Qingdao (PRC). The forum theme is "Innovation as a driver of sustainable development," included the participation of academics, a youth innovation forum, an exhibition of technological achievements, and B2B meetings to discuss topical issues of international cooperation, including the creation of joint degree programs, the development of academic mobility, implementation of research projects, and the recruitment of international students.
On the part of the People's Republic of China, the heads and representatives of the following educational institutions participated: Beijing Transport University (Beijing), Beijing Institute of Technology (Beijing), Xi'an Electrotechnical University (Xi'an), University of International Economics and Trade of China (Beijing), Chinese Petroleum University (Qingdao), Qingdao University of Science and Technology (Qingdao), Northwestern University of Politics and Law (Xi'an), Xi'an Polytechnic University (Xi'an), University of Science and Technology of Inner Mongolia (Baotou), Qingdao Agricultural University (Qingdao), Baojian University of Arts and Sciences (Baoji), Horching Institute of Arts (Tongliao), Ordos Vocational College (Ordos), Qingdao Technical College (Qingdao).
K.I. Satpayev KazNRTU was represented by S.K. Shalabayev, Vice-Rector for Administrative, Social and Educational Activities, as well as A.D. Akhmetov, Chairman of Directors Board at IDET. Within the framework of the forum, IDET established cooperation with OUC (Ocean University of China) and signed Letter of Intent with Information Science and Engineering Faculty of Oceanic University of China. IDET leadership and Professor Hong Feng, secretary of the party committee of Computer Science and Technology Institute of Oceanic University of China, agreed on joint activities in IT engineering sphere, digital projects and artificial intelligence.
SCO China Technology Transfer Center is the official national platform of PRC, whose activities are aimed at expanding the cooperation in scientific, technical, trade, economic, educational and cultural spheres between countries along “Zones and Paths” initiative based on the SCO member states. Center was established in Qingdao (Shandong Province) in December 2020 on the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Center's activities are supported by SCO Secretariat, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and other departments. Center has coordination centers in key cities of China and a wide international partner network in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and European countries.
