Satbayev University has expressed its condolences in connection with the death of academician Nariman Kozhaspayev

On December 8, a well-known Kazakh scientist, the first doctor of technical sciences in the field of electrical engineering in the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor, academician of National Engineering Academy Nariman Kozhaspayevich Kozhaspayev passed away.

Satbayev University expressed its condolences to the scientist's family and friends.

The history of computer science development in Kazakhstan is associated with a number of bright names, and one of them is Nariman Kozhaspayev. Together with Bayan Rakishev, he stands at the origins of training the specialists engaged in production automation at Satbayev University. It was here that Automation and Computer Engineering Faculty was opened in 1962. The faculty became a powerful center of change in the republic; Nariman Kozhaspayev occupied the post of Dean from 1975 to 1978. Prior to his appointment as Dean, he worked in the position of Faculty’s deputy dean for many years.

However, the main specialization and love of Nariman Kozhaspaevich remained electrical engineering. He became the author of more than 200 scientific papers, textbooks and tutorials, inventions, methodological elaborations, took part in many scientific projects. For example, in 2010 he became the author of the project on water purification using ozone technology, as well as awarded a diploma from Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov.

For his brilliant work, he was awarded "Veteran of labor", “For special merits", "Honorary specialist" medals, silver medal of International Academy of Electro technical Sciences, became the owner of “Honorary worker of Education" title.
