Satbayev University invites Almaty schoolchildren to City Geological Open Olympiad

The Olympiad will be held on April 8, 2022 at Satbayev University campus and will open the world of geology and mineral resources of Kazakhstan for participants as well as fans. Participants will not just answer difficult questions on minerals, but will also be able to highlight the nature of their native country.

Within the framework of Olympiad, participants will have to work as a team, as the competition will be conducted between teams of different ages. Teams from Almaty will be able to take part in Olympiad. A teacher-team leader should be at the head of each team.

The winners and prizewinners will receive diplomas and valuable gifts, the winners of the Olympiad among 11th grade students will be awarded grants from Satbayev University Rector based on educational programs:

•  "Geology and exploration of mineral deposits" - 1 grant;
•  "Oil and ore Geophysics" - 1 grant;
•  "Hydrogeology and engineering geology" - 1 grant.

If, according to UNT results, the holders of Satbayev University Rector’s grant will receive a state grant of RK MES, then the Rector's grants will be given to schoolchildren who received subsequent places following the Olympiad results (4, 5, etc.).
