Satbayev University is establishing the cooperation with the first national University of China

Talks were held at Satbayev University with the delegation from Tianjin University (PRC), headed by University President Jin Donghan. The leadership of two leading national universities with a long history agreed to develop international cooperation and identified the promising areas of joint work. Talks were held in the constructive atmosphere, during which the parties exchanged experiences and ideas on evolving the academic and scientific ties.

Meeting’s key topics were the issues of student exchange within the framework of the academic mobility program and introducing the double-degree educational programs. According to the agreements, Kazakhstani students will have the opportunity to study at Tianjin University, in turn, their peers from China will study at Satbayev University.

"It is important for us that our students have the opportunity to study in China, and Chinese students – at our University. We are interested in expanding the range of international partners, have extensive experience in implementing the international training programs and are ready to make quick decisions to launch a student exchange program as soon as possible," said Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev.

The first step in the given direction will be a new program for doctoral students who will be enrolled this year.

Tianjin University is the first national university in PRC’s modern history. It was founded in 1895 and is one of the leading universities in China. University is known for its research in the field of engineering, science and technology, actively develops international relations and offers a wide range of programs for international students. In addition to the usual degree programs, international students can also choose courses of interest such as Kung Fu, calligraphy, wood carving or Beijing Opera.
