Satbayev University is taking its first exam in the discipline that helps techies think outside the box

Satbayev University is a university where engineering education is complemented by creative disciplines, and this year students of Cybersecurity, Information Processing and Storage Department of are taking an unusual exam in the creative discipline Fundamentals of Design and Fashion. This is how Satbayev University complements STEM education with the skills to find non-standard solutions to engineering problems, turning it into the STEAM education modeled on MIT and Harvard.

"We are training a new generation of engineers, specialists who are able to combine precision calculations with artistic vision," said Anel Sydykova-Bitossi, the ideological inspirer of the program.
