Satbayev University presented the experience of integrating the sustainable development into education at SCO University Conference in China

In mid-May, the annual conference of University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO - 2025), dedicated to strengthening the cooperation in higher education sphere, was held in the Chinese city of Urumqi. It was attended by delegations from 36 universities from 7 countries, as well as ministers of education and representatives of SCO Secretariat.

During the visit, Satbayev University became a participant in "Study in Kazakhstan" exhibition, held at Xinjiang Professional University in Urumqi. University presented its programs for Chinese students, and university representatives held talks with Xinjiang Vocational Institute of Transport. There were discussed the plans to establish a training center at Satbayev University in cooperation with the Chinese “Changan” company.

In addition, Sapar Shalabayev, Vice-Rector for Administrative, Social and Educative Work at Satbayev University, presented a report at the rectors' forum on the university's experience in implementing sustainable development goals in the educational process.

SCO University is an international network of universities established by the decision of SCO Council of State Heads in 2007. Satbayev University’s participation in the annual conference of this important organization was a significant step in strengthening partnership with SCO countries and expanding educational opportunities for university students.
