Satbayev University strengthens cooperation with China within the framework of the Second Central Asia–China Industrial Cooperation Forum

On June 16, 2025, Astana hosted the Second Central Asia–China Industrial Cooperation Forum, timed to coincide with the official visit of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

Satbayev University took part in the event represented by Board Member, First Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development Samgat Ermekbayev.

Two memoranda of understanding were signed during the forum.:

• with Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd. — in order to create an International Incubation Center for Scientific and Innovative Projects;
• with China (Shenzhen) Education Enterprise Holdings Co., Ltd. — the establishment of the China–Kazakhstan New Energy Vehicle (NEV) vocational training base and a training center based on Satbayev University.

Satbayev University intends to integrate high-quality resources of the Chinese NEV industry and in the future form a national education platform focused on training personnel in the field of new energy technologies.
