Satbayev University will give a grant to the best of Kazakhstan scouts at World Scout Jamboree

This weekend, 18 Kazakhstani schoolchildren went to South Korea for World Scout Jamboree. Satbayev University's representatives took the scouts on a trip and provided a grant for training a scout who would best prove himself at this prestigious event.

World Scout Jamboree is a world Scout jamboree held every four years for scouts from all over the world. This is one of the largest and most significant events in the world Scout movement. It is usually visited by several tens of thousands of scouts aged 14 to 17 years. The last time the rally was held in the USA in 2019, this year it will be held in South Korea, where young people from 150 countries will gather. The main purpose of the meeting is to learn how to take care of nature, prepare for life in difficult conditions and get to know people from all over the world.

Scouts from Kazakhstan have been participating in the World Organization of Scout Movement since 2008. Today, the Kazakhstan program is called "Scouts of the Great Steppe" and is designed for children aged 11 to 17 years. The purpose of the Kazakhstan scouting movement is to form a character based on national values, to educate a generation that loves their homeland and knows how to benefit it. World Scout Rally will give them the opportunity to expand their understanding of sustainable development by exchanging the views on global issues, become an active citizen of the world and interact with scouts from all over the world, contributing to comprehension of various cultures.
