Satpayev University’s Architecture Department Wins Prestigious Competition
On July 24, 2024, the KAZGOR Design Academy hosted the awards ceremony for the design competition of tent pavilions. This significant event was organized by APS Engineering, the leader in tent architecture in Kazakhstan, with the support of the KAZGOR Design Academy, the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan, the Union of Urban Planners of Kazakhstan, and Serge Ferrari.
The competition attracted young architects from various cities in Kazakhstan, including Astana, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Almaty, and others. Participants presented numerous original and innovative projects for tent pavilions designed for a 100 square meter area, showcasing a high level of creativity and professionalism.
Particularly noteworthy was the project by Vladimir Yaskevich, a lecturer at the Architecture Department of Satpayev University. His work stood out for its bold solutions, national identity, thoughtfulness, feasibility, and strict adherence to all competition requirements. The organizers recognized his project as the best among all submissions.
During the discussions, participants and organizers agreed to continue working together on the competition projects for their further implementation, opening new opportunities for young architects.
