Tañdauym” project brought together women professionals and businesses at Satbayev University

Satbayev University hosted the second community meeting within the framework of “Tañdauym” project, which brought together students of technical specialties, young specialists, mentors and industry representatives. "Women leaders in production" panel discussion is dedicated to: what is important for a start and professional growth?" The participants discussed how the role of women in the manufacturing sector is changing today and what career opportunities are opening up in the industry for graduates of technical fields.

The meeting was held within the framework of Tañdauym Coca-Cola Içecek Kazakhstan scholarship program. Akerke Eraliyeva, Satbayev University Business School director, addressed the participants with welcoming words. Tañdauym project concept was also presented during the event. As Irina Oshurova, President of Women's network CCI Kazakhstan, emphasized, this initiative is aimed at supporting the female undergraduates of technical specialties who want to build a career in manufacturing:

– Today I want to tell you about the advantages of women's work in industrial and technical specialties, – said Irina Oshurova. Our company has support, retraining, and development programs that help women learn professions that have traditionally been considered masculine, such as loader operator, and we consciously break down established stereotypes.

Tañdauym project at Satbayev University has become a platform for exchanging the experience and creating the professional community that supports the participation of women in technical and industrial fields. The discussion focused on the real expectations of employers, the skills needed at the start of a career, as well as corporate practices that promote the professional growth of female specialists.
