The Republican festival of game developers "SU Game Jam 2021" has ended

Satbayev University hosted the first annual game developers’ "SU Game Jam 2021" festival. On December 6, the closing ceremony of hackathon took place and the winners were determined.

The festival was organized by Automation and Information Technology Institute and "theHUB" Independent Youth Community. In addition to Satbayev University, the teams of Astana IT University, Suleiman Demirel University, Almaty University of Energy and Communications, Gumilyev Eurasian National University, students of Nazarbayev Intellectual School, as well as pupils and students of other schools and universities of the Republic took part in the competition. The sponsor of the first "SU Game Jam 2021" was “Transtelecom.”

The main theme of competition projects was GameDev. The participants were inspired by the era of Internet era beginning, the primitive and vivid graphics of the first games and operating systems, within the aesthetics of which they had to make their project. Three teams became the winners of "Game Jam SU 2021".

The first place of the absolute winner was ranked by Puppies in socks team from Almaty University of Energy and Communications with Left Alone project.

In addition to the competition of teams in hackathon, the winners in special nominations were determined as well. JIC Games team from Zhambyl Innovative Higher College with Pim Pom project was recognized as the most innovative team.
