The results of Annual Republican Contest of Inventors "Shapagat -2021" have been summed up

Two teams of Satbayev University were among the winners of “Shapagat-2021” inventors’ competition. The winners with the highest number of votes were:

Boranbai Ratov, doctor of technical sciences, associate technologist, research professor at Satbayev University with an invention that relates to mining and oil-gas industry, in particular, to cutting rock-breaking tools for drilling large-diameter wells for various purposes in soft and medium-hard rocks. The technical result of the invention is to reduce the energy intensity of drilling and to increase the productivity of drilling large diameter wells;

Almabek Kassenov, Satbayev University professor, candidate of technical sciences, who presented a device for cleaning the filter column of wells for various purposes. The device cleans the inner walls of wells, filters and restores the permeability of the bottom-hole zone of the productive reservoir, thereby achieving the most complete use of the kinetic energy of the flushing fluid flow to create a cavitation effect, and when cavitation bubbles cool, the resulting shock wave affects each point of the surface to be cleaned due to rotation of the housing, which increases the degree of purification of both the well with a filter and the bottom-hole zone of the productive reservoir compared to similar devices.

The republican "Shapagat" contest has been held since 2004, and since 2017 it has switched to an online format. The competition is attended by the holders of valid patents for inventions, utility models, industrial designs issued in the year preceding the competition. The winners are awarded diplomas and souvenirs. The contest organizers promote the inventive activity of our compatriots. Among the ten winners of competition are innovators from the fields of agriculture, mining, medicine and technical industry.
