The XVII Republican Olympiad on "Automation and Control" was held at Satbayev University

At the end of April, Satbayev University became a hub for engineering talent from across the country — the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies hosted the 17th Republican Subject Olympiad, bringing together students from 14 leading universities of Kazakhstan.
Participants arrived from all corners of the country to showcase their knowledge and prove that automation is not just about formulas, but also about passion.
Following two intense stages, the jury selected the top performers. The gold medal was awarded to Yelnar Dusekenov from the Kazakh-British Technical University. The silver medals were shared by Sagdiana Leker from the same university and Dinmukhamet Zhumagazinov from Shakarim University (Semey). Bronze medals were taken home by Asanali Usenov from Shakarim University, Zhasybai Smagulov from S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University, and Almas Zhubanov from Ä. Saginov Karaganda Technical University. In the team ranking, the Kazakh-British Technical University took first place, followed by Shakarim University and Karaganda Technical University in third. The winners received diplomas, commemorative prizes, and most importantly, a strong boost of inspiration for the future.
The Olympiad served as a platform for experience exchange and the advancement of technical education, demonstrating that the profession of “Automation and Production Control” remains in high demand, and that engineering continues to be one of the most relevant fields in modern education.
“This Olympiad is a great start for professional growth and meeting like-minded people,” noted the organizers.
Satbayev University thanks all participants, teachers, and mentors for this vibrant celebration of engineering thought!
