"Unity as a National Value": University Celebrates Intercultural Dialogue
On the eve of Nauryz, the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages organized a festive evening titled “Unity – a National Value.” The event vividly showcased student friendship and highlighted the unity of our multinational society.
Performances by international students in the Kazakh language and the promotion of national values demonstrated the results of an inclusive and high-quality education system. The integration of various cultures contributes to reduced inequalities and the strengthening of interethnic harmony, directly supporting the development of a peaceful society. The participation of students from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Arab countries, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other nations stood as a model of effective intercultural partnership and underscored the university’s social responsibility.
The true stars of the evening were the international students studying at our university. They performed songs and recited poetry in Kazakh, while also showcasing the traditional dances of their home countries. Furthermore, through video presentations prepared by the students, the essence and spiritual continuity of Nauryz in modern society were beautifully illustrated.
"This evening is not just a festive program; it is an educational platform where diverse cultures intersect, and where friendship and mutual understanding prevail. Where there is unity, there is prosperity," noted the organizers.
The department intends to continue its work in enhancing students’ cultural and language competence, relying on the principles and values of the Sustainable Development Goals.
