We are inviting you to the opening night of "Mechanism" play from Theater. Polytech on December 19th and 20th
For the creative community of Satbayev University, the main event of the end of 2023 will be the first performance of Theater. Polytech team based on the author's play by Anel Syzdykova-Bitossi "Mechanism", where the main characters were students of Almaty Polytechnic University.
At the beginning of February 2023, an impressive and creative presentation of "Polytech Student Theater" innovative project took place within the walls of «Gallery of Minerals" at Satbayev University. Almost a year has passed since then, the project has gained strength and gained its own face. The idea turned into reality.
Polytech found a venue, recruited a troupe consisting of 20 talented students, attracted professional directors and mentors. In order for tech students to get acquainted with such a new phenomenon for them as theater, Theater. Polytech invited theater specialists.
The students not only completed the basic course of acting, but also constantly expanded their capabilities. At the master classes, students and staff practiced breathing techniques with Kuantai Abdimadi, listened to “History of the theater building” lecture by Kesha Bashinsky, were inspired by the experience of Aisulu Azimbayeva, got acquainted with the technique of stage movement by Salim Balgazin, and also learned dance choreography from Laura Makan, who became part of "Mechanism" play.
Theater rehearsals have become a real bridge between two different worlds, where modern technology merges with art, creating a unique atmosphere of creative inspiration. The students have done a lot of work on creating the play, and most importantly, on developing their creative genius.
You will be able to see the result on December 19 and 20 at 19:00 in the assembly hall of Satbayev University (MMB). Polytech Theatre’s interdisciplinary team will connect the world of science and the world of theater under its auspices, presenting the exciting and unusual performance to the audience. We’ll be looking forward to seeing you!
