Young Geniuses: The Final of the “Young Satpayev – V” 2026 Competition Took Place at Satbayev University

Satbayev University hosted the fifth intellectual competition “Young Satpayev,” bringing together talented high school students from across Kazakhstan. The anniversary season of the competition once again demonstrated a high level of interest among school students in science and engineering.

The final stage of the competition took place on the university campus and featured the top ten participants selected from more than 1.000 applicants. Following an intense intellectual contest, the winner was Duman Sailaubek from Satpayev city, Ulytau region. He was awarded the grand prize – an internal university grant to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Satbayev University.

Ainaz Kairatovna Abildina, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Processes and Industrial Ecology, served as a jury member for the final round. She highly praised the organization of the event and the level of the participants:

“The competition was held at a very high level. The tasks were meaningful, relevant and focused on developing practical skills. The participants demonstrated strong preparation, analytical thinking and a genuine interest in science.”

The competition traditionally consisted of several stages. The first and second rounds were held online and included 60 questions each in specialized academic disciplines. The finalists were selected based on the highest scores.

Second place was awarded to Meyirkhan Yermek from Petropavlovsk, while third place went to Amire Ruslyamuly from Ust-Kamenogorsk. They were presented with valuable prizes and commemorative gifts.

For five years, the “Young Satpayev” competition has served as an important platform for identifying and supporting talented students. Many participants later choose technical fields and continue their studies at Satbayev University, becoming part of a new generation of engineers and scientists in Kazakhstan.

The organizers emphasize that participation in the competition plays an important role in helping students shape their career paths and contributes to the development of the country’s intellectual potential.
