I have chosen the oil faculty, the department “Development of oil and gas fields” to enter the university on my own. Everything turned out simple: I saw at the booth that only 6 applicants instead of 25 had submitted documents to the group GN-74, the subconscious mind told me that I would be the seventh, a happy number... That's how I entered Kazakh National Research Technical University in the fall of 1974. At that moment I was completely unaware of whom I would study and what to do in the future. But my interest in the profession aroused in 1975, in New Uzen, when I first saw the work of rocking wells. It was so exciting! I liked to watch them as they sway monotonously and as if nodding to you, agreeing with you and your thoughts. It happened so that I turned out to be the first “female oil industry worker” to be born in Arys, a school-leaver who finished the secondary school № 8 named after Komarov, where we got education after graduating from the 8-year -school named after Zhdanov. I am very grateful to my fate for the opportunity to work and live among real oil workers.

Our group was the strongest at the faculty. There were 25 of us initially, but 30 people graduated, that is, the group (headed by the headman Kozhakhmetov I.) “pulled up” 5 more students! Our tutor, Galiasker Muratovich Nursultanov, was an extraordinary person, he was our inspiration and great friend throughout all student years! But this is also the merit of our teachers - strong and competent teachers who were rooting for students with all their souls: Zakharov O.P., Nursultanov G.M., Ten V.A., Tolubekov B.S. and many others. I am grateful to all of them from the bottom of my heart!

I remember, at that time all the students were involved in a particular research project. It was interesting for me to engage in the technique and technology of oil and gas production, and Oleg Petrovich Zakharov was the head of the scientific part. The results of the work were included in my diploma thesis. It was called “Choosing the Optimal Mechanized Method for Oil Production for a Typical Well of the Uzen Field”. The diploma was defended with “excellence”, and my specific proposals were recommended for implementation at the Uzen deposit.

I began my career when we, senior students, were accepted by oil production operators, accustoming us to independence. I remember very well how I went around the wells, regulated their operation, took samples, measured wellhead pressures, repaired and replaced the seals, cleaned the pumps, prepared production reports ... Once, when I filled the stuffing box at the well, something suddenly clicked, and literally in a split second the oil fountain covered me from head to toe - they barely washed me later! Then, as I believe, my initiation into the oil industry took place, to which I have remained faithful. My plans for the future were completely connected with the work in the specialty, which was realized in practice, and I am proud of it.

Our University has everything for graduating smart, creative, purposeful specialists.

After graduating from the National Research Technical University in 1979, I arrived by the assignment of to the RDI of Oil and Gas in Shevchenko (now Aktau), where I was hired as an engineer for the development of oil and gas fields; in 7 years I grew up to a senior researcher. Mastering the oil and gas industry from the “nuts and bolts”, in the next 40 years, I gained vast experience.

In 1996, I was invited to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MOGI), where I coordinated the field development and technical and economic evaluation of new oil investment projects. Subsequently, I was lucky to work in companies such as “Kazakh Oil”, “KazMunayGas”, “Kazgeokosmos”. I was seconded from KMG Kashagan B.V. to the international Northern Caspian Operating Company. I was constantly “lucky”, as they say, - I was always involved in interesting projects.

From 2009 to 2017, I headed the Department of Technical Regulation of the Technical Directorate of the Northern Caspian Operating Company, and in 2018 I was invited to the position of Executive Director of N.A. Marabaev Public Fund “Munaishy”. This public fund was created to support the oldest oil veterans and public figures, to represent their interests and needs, to use their knowledge and experience (preparation and publishing of books of memoirs) for future generations.

On my way to realize myself as a professional in the oil and gas industry, as I believe, the knowledge, strength and endurance, partly obtained within the walls of the Kazakh National Research Technical University, helped. I think that I would be interested in trying to act as a guest lecturer at the University, as there is something to share.

Today, for any university, and the Kazakh National Research Technical University (Satbayev University) is no exception, it is important that its graduates can fulfill their potential. Our University has everything for graduating smart, creative, purposeful specialists. Young people - future production commanders - need to be demanding, not only to others, but, first of all, to themselves. In general, go ahead, try and be honest with yourself!
