Committee for quality assurance in the field of education and science at RK MES has launched the hotline phones for citizens ' appeals. Since a new academic year began in September for 3.6 million schoolchildren, about 400 thousand teachers, about 600 thousand students and more than 35 thousand teachers of the country, the issues related to education sphere are among the most urgent. The hotline phones will work so that Kazakhstanis can inform the given Committee staff and territorial departments about various problems.
These may be items of attracting the teachers to unusual functions, problems on school toilets, video surveillance cameras, alarm buttons, other elements of security systems, dormitories, and so on.
Alongside, parents, teachers and just not indifferent individuals will be able to send photos and videos regarding the non-compliance of security systems, school toilets, conditions in dormitories with the accepted requirements via WhatsApp mobile application to mobile number 8-705-206-59-32. Issues related to schools will be transferred to local executive bodies, since the legislative functions of financing, construction, repair work, creation of necessary conditions, including sanitary ones, are under the jurisdiction of akimats. At the same time, all these appeals will be under the control of Committee and its territorial departments until the final elimination of problems.
"Currently, most people use smartphones with photo and video recording functions. Concerned citizens who advocate for comfortable and safe conditions for children's education, including in matters of basic amenities and security systems, are already publishing photos and videos, informing us about various violations. We take control of citizens’ appeals and thank them for their activity in ensuring the children’s safety. If others follow this example, informing us about the facts of inconsistencies, we will send them to akimats that are responsible for solving, for example, problems with video cameras or sanitary units in schools, and monitor them themselves until the issue is completely resolved," said Gulzat Kobenova, Chairperson of Committee for quality assurance in education and science.
Let us recall that since the beginning of this academic year, about 70 appeals from citizens have been received in CQAES at RK MES. After consideration of all the appeals, there were taken all necessary measures.
Earlier, RK Ministry of Education and Science sent letters to akimats of a number of regions to take measures against persons who did not fulfill instructions concerning schools. We are talking on solving problems related to toilets, providing video surveillance cameras, alarm buttons and other elements of security systems.
