A meeting devoted to patriotism took place in SU
The Department of Social Studies of the A.Mashani Institute of Basic Education held an event "Patriotic spirit- is the main value of society" under the "Rukhani Zhangyru" program in November 20, 2018. For the meeting with the students, the participants of 1986 December events were invited: Kenzhebai Otarbayev - Chairman of the Republican National-patriotic Movement “Zheltoksan”; Beibit Nalibayev - Deputy Director of the National Ethnographic Association "Adyrna"; Erlan Dekelbayev, Alibek Muzafarov and Baktygali Taubayev.
The moderator of the event, lecturer T. Tumabayev noted that patriotic education was a component of the country's state youth policy. He stressed that patriotism was a virtue and men were not the patriots from the date of their birth, they became ones.
Guests of the event Kenzhebai Otarbayev, Erlan Dekelbaev, in their speeches noted that despite the tragic 1986 events, they were important in achieving the independence of Kazakhstan; this day had to remain in people's memory forever.
Beibit Nalibayev - deputy director of the national ethnographic association “Adyrna”, pointed out that Kazakhstani patriotism should be formed on the basis of respect for state, history, traditions, and culture of the Kazakh ethnos.
Teachers and students of the department took an active part in the event.
The meeting was held together with the national ethnographic association “Adyrna” in the framework of the project “Patriottyk Ruh – Basti Kindylyk” by order of the Office of Internal Policy in Almaty Akimat.
