Chess tournament among universities in honor of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence

The tournament of higher educational institutions for chess in Almaty was held at KBTU. The event was dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence. 24 teams from 16 universities fought for the title of the best team. More than a hundred people gathered in the round hall of the University. Rector of KBTU Iskander Beisembetov made a congratulatory speech.

First place was won by International IT University team; the second place -  KazNU team-1; the third place - KBTU team.

Also, the panel of judges determined and awarded the winners in the individual classification.
