"Did – understood": a certified Kaizen center has been opened at Satbayev University

A unique Kaizen center, the only one licensed by Total Toyota Production System in Kazakhstan, was opened at Satbayev University. The center was presented by Kumar Mussayev, an international certified trainer of Total Toyota Production System, partner and co-founder of Kaizen center, who spoke about the principles of operation and reminded the guests of the Chinese saying "Heard - forgot, saw - remembered, did - understood". He was supported by Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev, who initiated the opening of the center at Satbayev University:

- I dream that all our managers will be trained at the center, - said Rector at the opening. - Many of our leaders have already become the center’s students, and I hope that the ideas they have adopted will spread further and further.

Kaizen Center, first opened in Kazakhstan in 2015, provides companies with training and implementation of kaizen tools in business processes. The new center will become a leading platform for training the specialists and implementing the kaizen methods in the country's organizations, helping companies improve processes and increase efficiency.

The center is divided into all parts: lecture and practical, equipped with a large number of simulators. A little theoretical training is combined here with a large amount of practice. In most cases, a two-day training involves one day of training in real production.

Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy and methodology of continuous improvement and development in "small steps". The Kaizen methodology offers gradual optimization of business processes and improvement of customer relationships. The key idea is that constant small improvements will eventually lead to a big positive change. The basis of kaizen is the pragmatic use of resources and careful production.

Kaizen principles are already being applied at the university - they have become part of a new corporate culture and atmosphere, changed lives and worldviews, and helped to rebuild work. University has become more convenient, and working here is more comfortable. The given program at the university will continue and develop: it is possible to create programs for young managers, children's programs, and the introduction of kaizen principles into the landscaping and life of the university.
