Field trips of students, masters, PhD and academic staff of KazNRTU after K.I. Satpaev
Students, masters, PhD and academic staffof the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Business after K.Turysov took part in two-day field excursions organized by the scientific and educational fund after academician Shahmardan Yesenov with the support of Almaty akimat within the framework of the international project Earthquakes Without Frontiers (United Kingdom).
The purpose of field excursions is visual inspection and study of active faults at the area. On the first day there was a trip to the direction of Chilik village. On the second day, a visit was made to the area of Fabrichny and Ushkonur villages they were heavily affected by the Vernensky earthquake on 1887.
At the end of the trip, students, masters, PhD had the understanding of the mechanisms involving to the faults generation, their active role and seismogenic tectonic dislocation along the faults, put to the formation of mountain terrain.
During the field excursions, lectures of Richard Walker Professor of Oxford University were listened. As a result of the excursions, all participants were given certificates.
