Garden City starts small: Satbayev University has hosted an environmental action

Today, the territory of Satbayev University dormitories has turned green with new seedlings – students, together with Rector Meiram Begentayev, planted new young trees. The action was organized in support of the initiative of Kazakhstan’s President “Taza Kazakhstan”, which is designed to make our country cleaner and greener.

"We are not just planting trees, we are investing in the future. This is our concern for nature, about what kind of world we will leave to the next generations," said Satbayev University’s Rector.

This day has also become special because National Dress Day is celebrated in Kazakhstan on March 18. Many students came to the event in traditional Kazakh clothes, which added a special atmosphere to the event. National ornaments, bright colors, the spirit of unity - all this is harmoniously intertwined with concern for nature and the future of the country.

Almaty has always been famous for its green streets and cozy parks, and the tradition of planting trees here has been passed down from generation to generation, so the initiative "Taza Kazakhstan" has found a special response here. This is a whole movement that changes people's thinking, teaches them to love their land, take care of it and make the world around them a better place.

Satbayev University students not only planted trees, but also took care of the seedlings themselves - watered them, adjusted the ground so that the roots would ingrain more firmly. Now the students themselves will take care of the new green spaces, and perhaps in a few years these trees will become a symbol of their student years.
