Interactive game "SWOT analysis of nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan" on the basis of K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University
A unique interactive game dedicated to the topic of nuclear power plants (NPP) in Kazakhstan was held on the basis of K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University. The event was attended by students from various institutes representing the specialties of nuclear physicists, power engineers, chemists, environmentalists, as well as project management specialists. The participants were divided into teams, within which they studied the basic terms, design, environmental aspects and world experience in the field of nuclear power plant construction.
The principal purpose of the event was to convey to young people an understanding of what a nuclear power plant is, to study international practices for constructing the nuclear power plants and to delve into key aspects of this field of energy. The game allowed students not only to familiarize themselves with the theoretical foundations, but also to immerse themselves in the process of designing and analyzing real projects.
Game format turned out to be not only interesting, but also unusual, which allowed the participants to better assimilate the material and prove themselves in teamwork. This event was an important step in popularizing the knowledge about safe and effective ways of using nuclear energy in Kazakhstan.
