Adhering to the Address of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan - "Fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism", as well as the first goal of sustainable development established by the UN - "End poverty in all its forms everywhere", the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages ​​of E. Turkebayev Institute for Project Management organized an open lecture on financial literacy on October 14, 2024 at Satbayev University.

In the modern world, in the age of information technology, where economic systems are becoming increasingly complex, the lack of basic financial knowledge (especially among the younger generation) can exacerbate inequality. In his Address, the President noted the importance of forming a new economic thinking focused on the effective management of personal resources.

The acting Executive Director of the Card Business of Junior Bank (Bank Center Credit) - Bimagambetova Nurgul Nurbergenovna with the topic: "Fraud and ways to prevent it". The expert spoke about the types of financial fraud, described the typical behavior of fraudsters. The speaker placed special emphasis on droppers, who pose a great threat to the safety of citizens, as they unwittingly become participants in fraudulent schemes related to money laundering. In addition, Nurgul Nurbergenovna shared precautions and tips on how to protect yourself from fraud, and also gave recommendations on what to do if you have already become a victim of fraud.

The discussion of this topic contributed to the formation of financial literacy, creating conditions for sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty in society. It is planned to continue the series of educational lectures to increase the financial awareness of students and employees of Satbayev University.
