Participation of Satbayev University architecture students in the international competition – Cup of Young Architect 2023

On August 25, Almaty hosted an important event organized by the Section of Young Architects at the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan and the Design Academy "KAZGOR" – the Cup of the Young Architect.

The competition attracted young architects from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, who presented their innovative projects for the development of an ecological tourist complex based on farming.

The task was a bright challenge, and each team demonstrated its own view of the future.

Not only the projects themselves were evaluated, but also the professional presentation of the teams, the level of presentation and the skill of creating layouts made directly on the competition site in a limited time.

In addition, the participants had the opportunity to deepen their ties and exchange experiences during various events and excursions in Almaty.

An important aspect was the development of communication among young architects.

The jury, consisting of well-known representatives of the architectural communities of the participating countries, provided an objective and transparent assessment.

In a fair fight, the Satbayev University team – Milan Baysaev, Ershat Botagoz, Had Amir and Murat Madi – took the prize for the most creative project!

The competition gave participants valuable professional experience, a unique opportunity to get acquainted with leading experts and peers from other countries.

These inspiring days in the company of like-minded people will help young professionals become active and creative members of the professional community.

And as an additional highlight: at the event Kuspangaliev Bolat, director of the Institute of Architecture and Construction named after T.K. Bassenov, announced a new competition for the best project of the international youth center in the tourist complex "Turan Orda" on the shore of Lake Balkhash.

Satbayev University, together with the Kazakh Academic Center MAAM-Eurasia and the public foundation "World Nomad Center "Turan Orda" announced their intention to organize this unique competition in the fall.
