Peer of University: Conference, dedicated to 90th anniversary of the outstanding representative of the mining school Bayan Rakishev, started its work
A traditional conference, dedicated to the work of Academician of National Academy of Sciences at the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Rector of Satbayev University, Doctor of technical sciences, Professor Bayan Rakishev, has begun its work. In the current year, this major scientist and teacher turns 90 years old – the same age as Satbayev University.
University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev opened the conference with the congratulatory speech:
— I am infinitely pleased that we are opening our anniversary events - 90th anniversary of the founding of University and 125th anniversary of Kanysh Imantayevich Satbayev by honoring an outstanding scientist, an awesome teacher and organizer, and finally, our graduate Professor Bayan Rakishev. In his youth, he surprised everyone when he went to the mine, to the shaft and worked there for 8 years, not forgetting about science. His merits and achievements are recognized internationally, the whole university knows and loves him and wishes him success and long life, - said Rector.
International scientific and practical conference "Resource-saving technologies in the mineral and industrial mega complex in the context of sustainable economic development" was held for two days and was devoted to modern elaborations that allow the community not only to demonstrate industrial achievements, but also to ensure sustainable development. The experts who spoke at the conference shared their knowledge and experience in the field of forming the investment and innovation strategies for implementing the priority areas in the mineral and industrial mega complex (exploration, hydrogeological, mining and metallurgical, mining and chemical, fuel and energy, oil and gas complexes).
Vice-Rector for Science and Corporate Development Yerzhan Kuldeyev acted as Deputy Chairman and moderator of the conference.
