Satbayev University has expanded its horizons together with "Kazselezashchita" State Institution

On August 5, 2021, the first heads of Satbayev University, "Kazselezashchita" State Institution at RK Ministry of Emergency Situations and "Power sunrise holdings limited" company signed Memorandum of cooperation. The meeting was attended by Management Board Chairperson - Rector Meiram Begentayev and "Kazselezashchita" State Institution Head Karim Kokrekbayev.

Future cooperation provides for joint activities and scientific research aimed at solving urgent problems in the field of preventing natural emergencies.

"Kazselezashchita" SI is an enterprise under Ministry of Emergency Situations that solves the tasks related to preventing mudslides and landslides as well as eliminating their consequences.

The protection of population in the country, economic objects and lands from natural emergencies consequences is a task that requires the use of new effective approaches and a high level of technologies. The introduction of new innovative technologies, including aerospace technologies, will make it possible to more accurately predict natural risks, take measures in advance, and minimize damage from dangerous geological processes.

As part of the exchange of experience and organizational as well as technical mutual support, it is planned to develop and implement new digital systems for controlling, monitoring and analysis of natural phenomena and objects that will help to notify the population and emergency response services in a timely manner about the threat of natural hazards.

The signing of the given memorandum opens a new page in University work on preventing the natural disasters’ consequences.
