Satbayev University has expressed its condolences in connection with the death of the scientist Nadir Nadirov

On August 24, 2021, Academician Nadir Karimovich Nadirov, an outstanding world-famous petrochemical scientist, a major organizer of science, a well-known public figure of Kazakhstan, died at the age of 90.

During his long life, Nadir Nadirov made a great contribution to the science of our country and public life. Nadir Karimovich is the author of more than 1200 scientific papers and 8 scientific discoveries. He is First Vice-President at RK National Engineering Academy (RK SRA), academician of RK National Academy of Sciences (RK NAS), Honorary President of International Federation of Kurdish Communities, veteran of Assembly of Kazakhstan People, Honored worker of science and education of Republic of Kazakhstan, the USSR honorary oilman, laureate of State Prize of Kazakhstan.

Nadir Nadirov received international recognition as an outstanding scientist and teacher, who created 31 monographs, 10 textbooks as well as he was the mentor of 12 doctors and more than 50 candidates of technical, chemical, physical-mathematical, biological, economic, pedagogical sciences and received about 250 patents and copyright certificates for inventions.

Among his most famous works are a series of collective monographs: "Chemical equilibrium and principles of its mixing" (1996), "Tocopherols and their use in medicine and agriculture" (1991), "Tengiz- the sea of oil, the sea of problems" (2003)," New oils of Kazakhstan and their use "(1979-1987)," Petro bituminous rocks "(1982-1988)," High-viscosity oils and natural bitumen "(2001)," Oil and gas of Kazakhstan " (1996). The scientist's journalistic monographs were highly appreciated: "We, the Kurds-Kazakhstanis" (2003) and "The time difference, or Historical turns: an exam for decency" (2008).

 Nadirov N. K. was awarded the orders of Red Banner of Labor, "Kurmet", "Dostyk", "Parassat" and many other medals, also, was granted honorary titles – the laureate of the prize named after academicians I. M. Gubkin and K. I. Satbayev. An honorary professor of several universities, he received international recognition as "Father of oil science in Kazakhstan." He was the creator of an authoritative scientific school, who educated a whole galaxy of petrochemical scientists, sparing no effort and time passing on his rich experience and knowledge to the younger generation.

The scientific and engineering community of Satbayev University has expressed its condolences and grieves together with Nadir Karimovich’s relatives and friends. He left a deep mark in the history of our people and will forever remain in our hearts!
