Satbayev University helps Teach for Qazaqstan project in training teachers for the regions
Teach for Qazaqstan is a global educational project, part of the Teach for All global initiative aimed at ensuring equal educational opportunities for all children, including those from far corners of the country. As part of this initiative, selected professionals undergo pedagogical retraining to teach the basics of their profession and general education subjects to children from disadvantaged schools, remote villages and small towns across the country, where there is a particularly shortage of personnel. The program provides participants with financial assistance, curatorial and coaching support.
Graduates of non-pedagogical universities and specialists with work experience from different fields can take part in the program. The main focus of the training is on developing the leadership skills of the program participants so that they can become agents of change in the education system. At the end of the program, the program participants become full-fledged teachers. At the end of the contract, they can either stay in the education system or go to another field.
The Teach for All movement successfully implements its projects in more than 60 countries around the world, but for Kazakhstan it has been implemented at Satbayev University for the second year. To help the process of providing equal educational opportunities for all, Satbayev University has provided a platform for it free of charge. To note the importance of the university's assistance, the project management thanked the Career Center, the Departments of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and Software Engineering, teachers Nursultanov Mereya, Margulan Kabylzhan for organizing meetings with graduate students on the educational programs "Chemical and Biochemical Engineering", "Computer science" on November 24, 2023.
The students of Satbayev University showed great interest and activity. Memorable gifts and souvenirs were distributed to students from the Teach for Qazaqstan public foundation.
