Satbayev University hosted a seminar on green technologies
On May 12, Satbayev University hosted a seminar on "Green Buildings and their Certification: New Opportunities for Kazakhstan", organized by the Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Council for Green Building Diyaz Baiseitov and the Director of the Institute of Architecture and Construction. In recent years, the problem of resource efficiency has been raised more and more often, and many countries are openly discussing the development and implementation of so-called "green" technologies. Therefore, in 2020, on the basis of Satbayev University, together with the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects and the GRADO design firm, a consortium was created and the development of minimum requirements for the use of renewable energy technologies at civil engineering facilities for the UN Development Program began.
Satbayev University has become a champion of green building in Kazakhstan, directing its activities to ensure that it becomes a standard practice for the Kazakhstani architecture and construction industry: the design, construction, operation, reconstruction and demolition of all buildings in Kazakhstan must be carried out in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
Green Technologies” is the result of IT solutions aimed at preserving nature. The most obvious and easy to understand example is the recycling and recycling of materials, wastewater treatment, energy conservation, and renewable energy sources.
In continuation of the study, the speakers of the seminar - Diyaz Baiseitov and expert on energy efficiency of the UN Development Program Alexander Bely, during the seminar, demonstrated the possibilities of green certification of buildings and made an overview of trends and cases in this segment. Teachers and doctoral students of the Department of Architecture took an active part in the discussion and took part in trial testing and certification of compliance with green building standards.
The seminar has become a convenient business platform for discussing topical issues on green technologies.
