Representatives of educational institutions, in particular, 7 leading universities, over 7,500 pupils of graduation classes, as well as class teachers and vice-principals of schools attended the forum. The Deputy Akim of Almaty city Kyrykbaev Arman Orazbayevich and the Head of the Education Department of Almaty City Khodjabergenova Gulnara Makhaevna were also main guests of the forum.
The forum was jointly organized by the Education Department of Almaty.
The aim of the project was to provide students with the knowledge, inspiration and motivation so that they can take a rational approach to a career choice and search for their life vocation. The project was implemented in several stages.
In September, over 200 school psychologists attended training seminars "New technologies and effective methods of conducting vocational guidance activities in schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
In October, 7,500 pupils of graduation classes of schools took online professional diagnostics, which in its turn allowed to identify each student's individual abilities, professional interests and unique opportunities for the development of a particular profession.
On November 24, the 3rd stage of the project took place in the Almaty Arena ice complex. There was a show of presentations, where the representatives of universities presented their profile directions, and gave information about the professions demanded in a labour market. One of the most remarkable part of the forum was the presentation about engineering direction by Satbayev University. In order to create an idea of engineering programs and specializations among schoolchildren, the cycle of designing an oil refinery, including the stage of searching for an oil field was displayed in a form of game activities through simple and understandable images for children. After the forum, the participants visited the EXPO-zone of universities.
The final point of the project will be the University Choice Festival “KASIP UNIDAYS”, when the students en masse will visit universities in Almaty, and have a chance to see the infrastructure and ask their questions about educational programs.
