The Olympiad on assembly and diagnostics of cars was held at Satbayev University
At the end of November, the Republican Olympiad "Assembling cars using VR technology and Electude" was held at the Satbayev University School of Transport Engineering and Logistics. The Olympiad was attended by students of the School of Transport Engineering and Logistics, the Institute of Energy and Mechanical Engineering and the Multidisciplinary College of Vocational Training (Shamalgan Station).
The Olympiad was opened by the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, academician, legendary scientist and one of the creators of the Dos Mukasan ensemble Ulykpan Sydykov. Alexander Markovsky, Head of the Teletrade representative office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, e-learning expert, also addressed students and teachers.
The Olympiad was held at the Porsche Scientific and Educational Center at Satbayev University and was devoted to the theory and practice of car assembly and repair. The students assembled and diagnosed the mechanical transmissions of the car in virtual reality for speed. At the same time, the accuracy and correctness of diagnostics and assembly were evaluated.
The results were evaluated by an expert commission: Associate professors Sholpan Akhmetova and Aldabergen Bektilev (Satbayev University), as well as Master of Industrial Training Nurlan Satinov (Multidisciplinary College of Vocational Training).
As a result of practical tasks and theoretical text, the first three places were won by Miras Mukanov, a student of the School of Transport Engineering and Logistics (1st place) and students of the Multidisciplinary College of Vocational Training Elshat Ayala and Kuanysh Armanbetuly (2nd and 3rd place).
The Olympiad became possible thanks to the creation of the Porsche laboratory at the university, where a virtual environment for practical training of students in automotive engineering is deployed, as well as cooperation with Electude, an innovative company that creates simulators for practical training of engineering students. Electude allows students to diagnose machine malfunctions and track and correct their mistakes in real time. At the last Olympiad, Electude was used at Satbayev University for the first time. The Electude virtual simulator will be used on an ongoing basis to conduct classes on car design, reliability theory and diagnostics of road transport.
