How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?
1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.
2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.
3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.
The leading university program aimed at training specialists in transportation of oil, gas and other resources from the depths of the Earth, which is in great demand in modern Kazakhstan. Engineers provide technology expertise for delivery to refineries.
The program provides for the study of a wide range of subjects from the fundamental sciences (mathematics, physics, geology, chemistry) to the principles of engineering analysis, design and management.
The specialty includes sections of design and operation of oil and gas trunk pipelines, ensuring flow during transportation.
Students have many opportunities to develop engineering skills and knowledge outside of the classroom, including student organizations and internships in industry.
Students of the department of Petroleum Engineering conduct scientific research at the international level and are members of the section of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers - "SPE".
The Society of Petroleum Engineers is an international non-profit organization of petroleum technicians.
The main goal of the society is the accumulation and dissemination of knowledge in the field of oil exploration and production, the development of related technologies. The Society's offices are located in Moscow, Dallas, Houston, London, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. More than 100 thousand people are SPE members, including more than 28 thousand students.
Students of the department take practical training at the training ground of Satbayev University and are trained in the best domestic and international companies, including Schlumberger, Chevron, KazMunayGas, Rosneft, Lukoil, Eni, CNPC, ExxonMobil, Total, Royal Dutch Shell.
Some of the department's graduates work and gain experience at international locations from the UAE to the North Sea.
Graduates can work in transportation, piping engineering and design and expect to receive the highest starting salary of any engineer.
