  • How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?

    1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.

    2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.

    3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.

    4. The code in "Study trajectories" column is not necessary to use. It is shown for the convenience and to compare the code of specialties of previous years (until 2019) and the new code of educational programs (“Groups of educational programs” column).

Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of modern materials science for elaborating innovative high technologies and introduction of new materials and coatings for various purposes into production. Strategic priority for science, technology and engineering growth. Graduates are awarded Ph.D. degree.

You will gain knowledge in the field of development, research, modification and use of materials related to inorganic and organic nature for various purposes, processes for obtaining materials, blanks, parts and products, as well as their quality management for various fields of engineering and technology.

You will be able to carry out experimental-research work on studying structure and materials properties, develop new materials with specified technological and functional properties in relation to the set tasks’ solution, and carry out production, technological and organizational work at industrial enterprises.

Students will gain practical skills in 30 specialized laboratories furnished with modern equipment and instruments, computer equipment and software. Training uses the latest computer-aided design systems of international level, such as ADEM, SolidWorks, Autodesk, Compass 3D, MSC Nastran, Comsol Multiphysics, and APM Win Machine.

The institute interacts with many foreign technical universities and maintains contacts with professors from TFH University Georg Agricola (Germany), Pennsylvania State University, University of Loraine, AGH University of Science and Technology, CAUST, University of Texas, Braunswille, Liaoning University of Science and Technology (China) and others. Doctoral students undergo internships at technical universities around the world.

Graduates are in demand in engineering and transport industries and work as flaw detectors, chemical and spectral analysis engineers for materials, electron microscopy engineers, materials and coatings test engineers, materials engineers.
